Titel | Gedicht | Vorname | Nachname | Time | Unfathomable Sea! whose waves are years, Ocean of Time, whose waters of deep woe Are brackish with the salt of human tears! Thou shoreless flood, which in thy ebb and flow Claspest the limits of mortality!
And sick of prey, yet howling on for more, Vomitest thy wrecks on its inhospitable shore; Treacherous in calm, and terrible in storm, Who shall put forth on thee, Unfathomable Sea? | Percy Bysshe | Shelley |

Person Singular geschriebenen Lyrik fungiert. |

| Nachname: | Shelley | Vorname: | Percy Bysshe | Titel: | The Indian Serenade | erste Zeile: | I arise from dreams of thee ... | Gedicht: | I arise from dreams of thee In the first sweet sleep of night, When the winds are breathing low, And the stars are shining bright: I arise from dreams of thee, And a spirit in my feet Hath led me--who knows how? To thy chamber window, Sweet!
The wandering airs they faint On the dark, the silent stream-- The Champak odours fail Like sweet thoughts in a dream; The Nightingale's complaint, It dies upon her heart;-- As I must on thine, Oh, belovèd as thou art!
Oh lift me from the grass! I die! I faint! I fail! Let thy love in kisses rain On my lips and eyelids pale. My cheek is cold and white, alas! My heart beats loud and fast;-- Oh! press it to thine own again, Where it will break at last. | Titel_d: | | Gedicht_d: | | Nutzer: | 0 | E-Mail: | robert.morten@t-online.de | Autoren-Website: | - | Quelle: | The Liberal, 1 (1822). | Erfassungsdatum: | Montag, 27.August.2001, 20:22 | Rubrik: | England | Stil: | Romantik |
